Donald Joseph Qualls, better known as DJ Qualls is an American actor, producer and fashion model. He shot to fame after his role on Road Trip. Since then the actor has been in 20 feature films such including The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. Also, he has been on more than 22 series, like Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. Qualls who was diagnosed at age 14 with Hodgkin lymphoma is an incredibly strong fighter. Within two years the cancer is now into remission. His body was severely damaged by the treatment and the development of his body was slow down. Because he was a child of poverty, he wanted to achieve financial stability. After living so modestly for so long I need this financial security. In the absence of it, everything seems out of my control. He looks back on his youth and feels the desire to act against bullying. DJ says that "Cruelty causes pain to my soul." The ideal character for him in films and in his life is that of father. The director doesn't choose him for these roles but he does say. He would like to become father one day in order to spend more time with his child and not be so occupied with his work.
